Union City Express Plumbing is based at 4500 Jonesboro Rd in Union City and dispatches 24/7 to the towns around it. The same emergency line, (770) 214-4545, covers every address below.

Each town has a page written for its own housing, water and roads.

Union City, ZIP 30291

Union City has one ZIP, 30291, and about 29,910 residents. It runs from the older streets near City Hall on Union Street to the large western area annexed in 2006, so pipes range from decades old to recent. The main roads are SR 138 (Jonesboro Road) and I-85 at Exits 64 and 66, and dispatch routes from there.

For a leak or clog in the city itself, start on the plumbing services page or call (770) 214-4545 to describe the problem.

Towns we serve around Union City

Dispatch covers five nearby towns. Each blurb below links to a page with local housing eras, ZIP codes, water details and a map.

Fairburn (ZIP 30213) mixes an 1890s railroad downtown, mid-century streets and thousands of 2000s homes, so the plumbing problems differ block to block.

South Fulton (ZIP 30349 and 30331) is a large city of many communities, from Red Oak and Cliftondale to Sandtown and Welcome All.

Palmetto (ZIP 30268) is a small town along the railroad on the Fulton and Coweta line.

College Park (ZIP 30349 and 30337) is an older city beside the airport with a National Register historic district.

Riverdale (ZIP 30274 and 30296) sits in western Clayton County and is served by a different water utility than Union City.

Interstate exits and roads dispatch routes by

Plumbers travel the same corridors you do. I-85 runs through the middle of the service area, and each exit leads to one of the towns we cover. Knowing the exit helps when you give directions over the phone.

Who to call about the water outside your house

In Union City, Public Services at (770) 306-6855 handles the city's water and sewer lines, and the after-hours extension is 1. A leak on the street side of your meter belongs to the city. Anything past the meter is yours to fix, and that is where we come in.

Before any work that digs, Georgia 811 must mark buried utilities. Permit questions inside Union City go to Community Development at (770) 515-7920. Georgia's state plumbing code is based on the International Plumbing Code (IPC), and other towns have their own permit offices.

How the towns differ for plumbing

Union City buys water from the City of Atlanta through ten master meters and runs its own pipes from there. Fairburn also buys Atlanta water, through 19 master meters, and runs its own utility. The source is the same river, but the pipes after the meter belong to different cities, so a pressure or billing question goes to a different office in each town.

South Fulton is a much larger city than its neighbors, created in 2017 from many older communities, so housing age varies from one neighborhood to the next. College Park sits beside the airport and has one of the oldest historic districts in the area, where old drain lines are common.

Riverdale is in Clayton County, which means its water and sewer service come from a different utility than Union City's. Palmetto is a small town on the Fulton and Coweta line. On every call, give dispatch the street, the town and the ZIP, and the plumber will bring tools for the age of home you describe.

If your address is in a town not listed, such as East Point, Hapeville or Chattahoochee Hills, call anyway. Dispatch checks the address while you are on the line.

All towns share one rule: emergencies come first, and the price is explained before work starts.

Check your address with dispatch.
